It's a 1.5L, don't expect miracles even with those things. Boost is your friend, the more of it you have, the cheaper it is per hp Razz

It's illegal to drive a turbocharged vehicle?!
So.. you couldn't drive a Jetta diesel for example?

I would just like a chip that increases the RPM in the rev. limiter. Drives me crazy trying to get a quick getaway and the darn thing cuts-out well before the red line (or even any yellow or tinted line).

It's revving so loud one would need to be profoundly deaf (medically speaking) to forget to shift by mistake, so I am not sure why there isn't a chip -- unless there is some other way around the limiter.

That's odd, it shouldn't be cutting until 6300 or so..

OK, good to know because it is cutting out at just about 4,200.

I lost a transmission and had been losing oil, so before I bothered to get another one, I had my regular mechanic do a compression check and check all the plugs which were less than 5K and the plugs all looked good to him (me too - but I'm no expert) and the compression was good in all 4. (Leak we figured....)

Wonder what would cause the RPM problem? I am use to points, not electronic ignition, but that seems to be an obvious location from my old days racing.
